Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features used, and AI questions asked. This helps us improve the Service.

Highlights and Notes: If you highlight verses or save notes, these are stored in our database linked to your account.

Feedback: If you submit feedback, we store your message and optional email address.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. AI Conversations

Your questions to the AI are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. We do not permanently store your AI conversation history. Anthropic may process your messages according to their own privacy policy. We recommend not sharing sensitive personal information in AI conversations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • Anthropic: For AI features (your questions are sent to their API)
  • Render: Our hosting provider

We use industry-standard security measures including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Secure password hashing (PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations)
  • HttpOnly, Secure session cookies
  • Rate limiting to prevent abuse

We use a single essential cookie (bible_session) to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. We use localStorage to remember your translation preference and subscription status.
