Theme
Worship, prayer, praise, and the full range of human emotion before God
Overview
The Psalms are the prayer book and hymnal of ancient Israel — 150 poems covering every human emotion from despair to ecstasy. David wrote roughly half. The Psalms teach us how to worship, how to lament, how to trust God in suffering, and how to praise Him in victory. Psalm 23 and Psalm 119 are among the most beloved passages in all of scripture.
