Theme
Creation, fall, and the beginning of God's plan of redemption
Overview
Genesis is the book of beginnings — the creation of the world, the first man and woman, the fall into sin, the flood, and God's covenant with Abraham. It covers roughly 2,300 years of history and introduces every major theme of the Bible: creation, sin, judgment, grace, and redemption. The patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph show how God works through imperfect people to accomplish His purposes.
